Introducing...

This here is Miss Kylie. She is the daughter of my dear friend, Charlotte. We first became friends in the 7th grade. Pretty crazy, huh. She is just one of a bunch of great and dear friends I have from my childhood and high school years. I'll be having lunch with some of them tomorrow afternoon, in fact. I'm very much looking forward to that. Kylie is a sweet young'un. She really enjoyed her first Tiger's Blood snow cone after a long and exciting day at a local water park, NRH20. Thanks so much, Kylie, for these awesome pictures. Cutest snow cone pic I've seen in awhile. I know the few people who actually read this gotta be getting sick of seeing me all the time on here. Thanks, Charlotte! Love it! Oh, and they went to the Shiver Shack on Watauga Rd. if you're in the area. I'll have to check it out. I like the name. That's a start. So people, take your kids out for a snow cone. It's a really good family outing and can be a nice bonding experience. Be sure to take pics. Kids or no kids, snow cones are good for your health and well-being.
Happy Summer, all.
PEACE, LOVE, and SNOW CONES!
p.s. I had Root Beer. Dad had peaches'n cream. lol.

Happy hour after hours...

Kristy Brown had a snow cone. She can mark it off her list! Whoo hoo for that. She only had the best flavor ever...TIGER'S BLOOD!
She thought it was quite tasty. "It tasted like red."
That's what I tell people, but they look at me like I am crazy.
I had MANGO. Good, good, good...and even more good.
There was a little girl who had BUBBLE GUM. Her mouth was COMPLETELY blue. Too bad I didn't have my camera.

Shots...

I love snow cones. Had my 1/2 Tiger's Blood, 1/2 Mango. But even better....I made up a new shot today. You wanna know what it's called....Carrie's Snow Cone shot. Or just snow cone shot will do, too.
Malibu Rum + Roses Apple Martini Mix + Sprite = Carrie's Snow Cone shot.

srsly, y'all, it really tastes good and like a snow cone. I bet apple pucker would do in place of the apple tini mix, too.

So, needless to say, I had several of those tonight...

YUMMY!

guess what, y'all. tomorrow's friday, and that makes me sooo happy.

Good night all!

stuff...lists...

I vacuumed my stairs. Number 80 on the list. In fact, I vaccumed my whole apartment. I cleaned my closet, but still needs work. Can't really check that one off yet. But it's still sooooo much better. I'm working on other things on the list all the time....And of course, I've had my snow cone today. Have you???

By the way, anyone up for an adventure? Check this out, and let me know what you think.

(thanks, kristin)
:-)

p.s. YAY for me!

This is going to blow your mind...

Look, it's me eating a snow cone. What else is new?
What's so special about this snow cone, you ask? Well, it's...wait for it...half TIGER'S BLOOD, half MANGO! Yes, I did it. So good. So, sooo good.
I had a sweet lil conversation with a little boy today, prob about 6 years old, I guess. He was very interested in my snow cone. We discussed the different snow cone stands near our apartment complex, our favorite flavors, AND the new flavors across the street(lil cracky over there if ya ask me...) among other things like the economy and such. He said they will even let you taste all the new flavors. Yeah, it would be really cool of me, a thirty something, to ask to try every new flavor. HAHAHA. That would be just great. Little boy was sweet and friendly. He always says hi. He likes the Tiger's Blood. Smart kid. And he also really, really likes the blue kind. I love kids. (well, a lot of them. not all...haha)

Pics, people, come on.....I know somebody's eating a snow cone out there.

Peace, love, and snow cones!

  • oh, and the list. ok, i'm about to clean my closet. (haha) and i'm getting the carpets cleaned tomorrow. hey, this list thing is a cinch. i'll be done in no time.......oh, i'm gonna be working on that whole hang clothes after washing thing tonight, too.

Crack attack....

Man, I had a cracked out snow cone today, served by two girls that very well may have been cracked out themselves. This snow cone was all lopsided and chunky. Tiger's Blood even tasted weird. Well, I ate some of it. I'm feeling ok so far. Obviously I didn't go to my regular place. You gotta stick to the ones you know, trust, always going to be there(well, at least 99% of the time)...That applies to life in so many ways, doesn't it? Look at me getting all philisophical...HAHA

No fear...

Carrie's here.....uh....yeah....sure. Back to my all time fave, Tiger's Blood. It was so good, and I got to enjoy it twice! Half before dinner, half after. Oh, so good. Well, that's all I got. I'm tired........
Sweet dreams!

101 things in 1001 days...

Ok, so here's the deal with the List:
The Mission:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Some common goal setting tips:

1. Be decisive. Know exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it.

2. Stay Focussed. Any goal requires sustained focus from beginning to end. Constantly evaluate your progress.

3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.

4. Write down your goals. It clarifies your thinking and reinforces your commitment.5. Keep your goals in sight. Review them frequently, and ensure that they are always at the forefront of your thinking.

Mine's posted. Starts now, July 20, 2009. 9:04pm

Finished Number 1 just by finishing the list, and, boy, was is a task!

We'll see how this goes....wish me luck.

Flava Flav

So I had every intention of getting a different flava today, perhaps even tiger's blood. But when I opened my mouth to order, Mango it was. And good it was!
What a lazy weekend it's been!
Now I'm chillin' to the Rodrigo y Gabriela concert from the Mile High Festival in Denver. Great musicians. Dave Matthews plays tonight! I'm gettin' ready. It's on At&t Blueroom if anyone's interested. Also, John Mayer and Black Crowes!
Love and Snow Cones!

it's going around...

right after i blogged yesterday, Dawn and her sis, Colleen, showed up to hang for a bit. Aaaand guess what they had.......mmmhmmmm, snow cones. Dawn had Tiger's Blood(I taught her well), and Colleen had Wedding Cake???not bad, not bad. and I was still working on mine, too. It was a snow cone frenzy! then we chilled in the hot tub/pool. nice evening!
